I just can't seem to get over wanting everybody to like me. Which isn't at all realistic, I know. It's just a thought process that I can't consciously overcome. -_- Strangely, being in a forum where people throw crap at each other is somewhat therapeutic.

I think that what keeps me from liking myself is that I keep doing stupid, embarrassing things. >_< Oh, what I'd give to be cool.

Tried that. I get denied drugs because I'm not trying to kill myself, and I'm so polite and reasonable with psychologists that they think I'm getting better and leave me to it. Unless I'm writing on the walls with my own shit I'm not getting anything.
So at the moment I'm just getting up late and killing time before I can go back to sleep. I love the mental health service. So effective. My last doctor sent me to a motivational counsellor who stopped me at the door and said that he doesn't work for my age group and that my doctor made a mistake. We sat there for 20 minutes twiddling our thumbs before sending me back with squat. *sighs*

Anyway, how the hell did we end up talking about me?

You need to get into "fuck it" mode and just get out there.

i recommend seroquel 5mg or maybe like a 200mg of trileptal. it would do wonders to balance you. they aren't every strong either.

Is that prescription? If it is, I won't be getting it because I'm not bad enough. Apparently. :squint:

Sometimes the best thing is to wish your ex a good life and bid him/her farewell in the most benevolent but concise way you can.

Some people really can't be a friend with their ex. Some can.

But it has nothing to do with being a good or bad person, you just have to be honest with yourself and your ex about which type of person you are.

i did but didn't go out with a girl. didn't happen, moved on. she is now a fuckup, doesn't know what she wants from her life, throws herself at any guy who looks at her twice, and every time i try to be supportive (not romantically because i could not make that work and don't want to either), she thinks i'm into her and fully trys to fuck with my head despite me aparantly being the only stable guy friend in her life. its got to the point where I feel like saying "hey, i tried to be your friend, but you've burnt the bridge, fuck off have a nice life" but i just can't bring myself to do it. but yer i'm not one with terribly much experience with relationships and that, but dispite my idealisms i realise that a lot of the time ex's are just trying to one up each other.. tis sad.

John (vaginasaur) & I are real good friends. :D So are my other exes and I. In fact, I've never had an ex that I don't still talk to.

You can be friends with ex's who you've not been serious with. When its been serious, its always going to be trouble later. Unless you've TOTALLY moved on!

I was serious with one of them, but for some reason we just stopped seeing each other that way so it's totally cool that we're just friends. Another one's gay now, so that made it easy to move on. John's half way across the country, so that makes it easy too :P
