Where did you set your password at? And which router is this? There either should be a portal which lets you set the password (should be somewhere in the manual) or just log on to 192.168.1.1 . I think you might be setting the router password, which is the username and password asked when you try to log into your router's default address (192.168.1.1). Your network password is different, and it depends on the model of the router where you can set it. Dunno if this was any help though...

Btw the default userid and password for your router is admin and password.

I already did that, I'm not THAT dumb -_-
I entered to the menu and changed the password there, the problem is that it just doesn't seem to recognize it. The menu says everything is ok, and seems to accept the password, but when I enter from my iPod my wireless net appears as "unprotected".
I tried reseting the router and changing the name and the password again, but it doesn't work

No YerlA you aren't getting what he is saying. The password you are setting is to enter your router, not protect your wireless.

Go to the "wireless tab" in the router setup page. There should be a "Tpye of security (WEP,WPA and some other shit) Choose one (I always use WEP because it is easiest for me to remember, but there are arguments for any) IT will then ask you for a pass phrase and it will then porovide you with 3-4 "Keys" which will be 24 digit alpha numeric codes. that is the code your devices will need to enter to connect to the wireless.

Hope that is a bit clearer.

WPA2 is where its at Dag! Easier to remember because it uses a passphrase, plus AES is much better than anything that WEP uses, or TKIP for that matter. We hacked into a router with WEP protection in about 5 mins by using brute force.

Anyway Yerla, I hope you get what I meant. Not your ROUTER password, but your NETWORK password. Also what is the model of your router?
