okay so shit keeps minimizing and obviously a program is starting or some shit but I can't find . is there a utility that maps the programs that have stopped and started. I checked in services and all that shit but nothing seemed useful.

thats vague O_O

try start up manager and system info windows.

StM - the portable version, you can pop it on a usb if you like
SIW - ancient, but a great program. is a exe, so no install required

I hope my vague answers help... :giggles:

the reason its vague is due to my complete lack of figuring out what it is

nothing runs it just minimizes

so something with securities permission is "trying" to run but since nothing is in task manager that I can figure out I'm just like eff.

for someone who is somewhat computer savvy you run into a lot of software glitches.

i think the problem is between the chair and the computer. har har

im not sure if pots link took you to this or not but head here if it didnt

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/default.aspx

this takes you to the sysinternals website. on the left hand side down towards the bottom you will top downloads.

download the process explorer and process montior. its like a glorified task manager but identifies what is running, resources its hogging in a better GUI. easier to read and easier to stop.

if i remember correctly it also identifies processes it doesnt recognize as red, so it may be easier to spot rogue shit.

i'm insanely lazy so I'm always looking for a way to find it to do it for me.

I don't like giving my time to the machines.

I'll let you know how it goes.

I have turned off every process and service and tried it using binary too.

Nothing.

FML no viruses, no registry errors, nothing running and it just fucking minimizes.

what is 'it' dude. maybe the root of your problem lies within that program itself. a setting or a check box or summit to minimize to tray.

If I had anything to go I would have found it.

During FPS (mainly MW2 and L4D2) it will ding (windows error noise) then dump me to desktop. It's not from my voodoo DNA software because I tried disabling it.

The way to fix it mate is to search for a windows 7 torrent and start lloking at it saying things like...

"ooo i like that feature, it really does that? well i could use a format anyway"

slowly convince yourself its the right thing to do then you wont even care for how the problem arose in the first place

Is the program running full-screen?
When it dings, does the program just minimise, and you're able to open it again?

When programs are running full-screen and something triggers on the Desktop, it automatically switches out of the full-screen to show the error.. although it sounds like the error is somewhat in the background (spesh if there isn't actually an 'error' dialouge box or something).

I wouldn't put it down to Malware. Sounds like a background process is actually failing and like I mentioned above, Windows is minimising the program to show the error..

...um good luck with it? :)

Get VLC Player from http://www.videolan.org.

It's far superior and will play ANY file - without having to worry about codecs etc.

I've never had a problem with WMP. I only use VLC for the videos, and with WMP12 they've added many more codecs. So I hardly ever use VLC anymore. Who wants to use an interface that looks like THAT? It reminds me of the earliest versions of Win win winamp..it really kicks the llama's ass! :)

lol at winamp, nostalgic... wouldn't it be the vlc plugin in this case for his browser and so he wouldn't have to look at the naff interface with vlc.

Besides... redtube? try out youjizz my friend. see you in a few days :)

Napster. Oh the glory days of unregulated internet downloads, where I would be praying for my 56kbps modem not to disconnect as ONE mp3 would be downloading for an hour. And after an hour, voila. A file, a song, which plays back music on the computer. WOW!
