 Post subject: Does doing weights really stun your growth?

So I hear that whilst you're growing doing weights would stun you. I'd like too know if this is true, I turn 16 on the 8th of January and was wondering if that's a good age to start doing weights. I'm still pretty short and don't want anything fucking up my growth.

no absolutely not. so long as its not done to excess; working out will enhance growth due to an increase in appetite (assuming you eat healthy while doing it)

at 16 you should be lifting

16 is a good age, but start of light and dont try to up your max weight for awhile, if I were you I'd keep with light to medium lifting until I was out of puberty then go for heavy lifting(Im only assuming you're looking to do heavy lifting though).

I started lifting at 13 and despite going at it as fast and hard as I could I didnt get hurt or have my growth stunted, Im the youngest of my family but also the tallest although not very tall(5'11) but still I grew well after lifting heavy.

Just dont over do it. Obviously that will fuck up a lot. I have a few friends that started liftin between 13-14. Nothin happened to any of em except one, he over did it and fucked up his shoulder and everything. so be careful,

wanna gain weight?

lift at 8 am and again at 5 pm. run like 4 miles a day. do a shit ton of drills. go to sleep at 10 pm. wake up at midnight. eat 2 pounds of pasta (in addition to the rest of your diet). go back to sleep.

repeat for 6 months.

yes they do stunt your growth....They also make your ballz get smaller and your penis to grow inward......Not worth it holmes
