Ok... as I said in the other post about what car I have, we're in the market for a new ride. I have a little bit of an obsession with the Infiniti G35. There's one for sale not too far for me at an insanely cheap price ($5,000). Is that an indication that something is wrong with it? I expected it to be much more expensive.

And I meant $15,000 sorry!

So, how about you guys just suggest what car I should go with. My list of possibles so far is:

07 VW Passat or Jetta
05 Honda Accord
05 or newer Nissan Maxima
XX Scion TC

1. I heard VW were shit but never owned one.
2. Accord are nice
3. I only like the ass of the new maxima.
4. The TCs are nice. My friends sister has one and I believe you can do alot of mods to them.

If I had to choose out of just those I would go with the accord I guess.

Yeah I like the Accord too. I really like how the TC looks though and from what I understand, they are less expensive.

They are less expensive. Scions are geared toward the younger generation

15 K for a G35 was it sedan of coupe...cause I'm looking at one as well...and most of the ones I'm looking at aren't salvage and they are between 15 and 22K for sedan and coupe.

other than that TC's are nice and are very customizable...I don't care for most honda's including the accord, and Jettas aren't too bad and the max is expensive.

I think it was a sedan. The listing isnt there anymore for some reason. I just thought G35's were generally in the $20k+ area.

The G37 is driving down the price of G35s, and im sure you can find one for around 15k if you look. The TC is nice, toyota reliability, good on gas, and mildly sporty. I really like the new accord coupes and have read some positive things on them. Everyone I know with a vdub / audi has a boat load of issues.

It really depends on what you you need.... Where do you live? Does it snow? does 2 doors matter? do you need trunk space / cargo room. Do you want something sporty? or economic? or in between?

I find the WRX wagon to be pretty universal. Sporty, reliable, decent on gas, lots of room inside, you can put a hitch on if you want to, and the AWD helps a lot with all the snow we get here.

do you have a stick wrx or auto, I drove a stick wagon and it just about gave me whiplash...it killed though I like it's speed, the STI wasn't nearly as bad.

5-speed. The wrx 08 and before turbo is small, so it spools mad quick and it feels like snap acceleration, where the STi takes a bit longer to spool but more effective in the end. The WRX isn't all the powerful car, its just tuned and geared to get up and go. That is what I like about it{as well as nice handling, cargo room, AWD, durability/reliability, and resale value}..

Back on topic.. Another car I just thought of was the Hyundai Genesis Coupe. I think the base will be around $20k new. They have lines similar to the G35, not quite the performance, but supposed to be decent with good gas mileage. I doubt the interior will be as nice. If the 2010 models come out in aug/sept like most companies do, you will probably be able to get the 09s for 17-18k... especially with the crappy economy.

I think we'll end up going for an Accord. My SO knows a thing or two about Honda's so if anything were to ever go wrong, it would help that he's knowledgable about it. We live in Oregon, snows in winter, definitely need 4 doors, trunk space would be nice and economic is the priority. =)

I have owned 3 civics and an accord over the years, and every single one of them got well over 150,000 miles before I sold them (my first civic I put 260,000 miles on it, sold it and saw it 4 years later on the road again)

Honda is the shit yo.
