So guys, I'm going on a roadtrip in a little more than a week with my roommate. We're going to be in the car for roughly 24 hours and need some good music. So give me some playlists. My only requirements:
1)Each playlist doesn't go more than 80 minutes
2)I'd prefer no emo music or country
3)Nothing that is going to put me to sleep.
Other than that.... I'm golden, whatever's cleaver.

Also, I know this doesn't fit here but I don't want to make a separate post for it. Anon, how's Iowa on the 24 hour gas stations? I figure Des Moines probably has a few, but how about the rest of your god forsaken state?

 God damn it, stop filling my head with hip-hop tracks. I've been singing ♫Owww skeet skeet skeet skeet skeet skeet♫ all day, and now I'll be in bed thinking nothing but ♫Move, bitch! Get out the way!♫

Fucksake.

I'm afraid my idea of good driving music is high-tempo drum and bass, so I won't bother filling you in on my favourite driving tunes.

'My favourite game' by the Cardigans is always a good tune, though.

Yeah, but this is just a vacation. I'm not moving yet. I'm going to move ASAP but I'm going down for the Texas Renaissance Festival.

I don't think one of my requests for what I didn't want was "No high-tempo drum and bass."

I'm just accustomed with the fact that most people here berate me for my taste in electronic music. :giggles:

Polygon by Shock One will blow your ears out.
Also anything by High Contrast, Commix or NuTone should perk you up if you're trying to keep your eyes open. Red Mist by Danny Byrd is a big tune, too. Though you should only play it if you're driving a black Escalade, rolling to to some hoes, really.

Yeah, I'll be doing most of the driving I'm sure. My roommate has never been on a roadtrip this long before so I'm sure she's gonna whine about how tired she is. The drive home is gonna suck, but oh well. I GET TO BE IN LOUISIANA. (caps for how f'ing excited I am.)

you might not be able to. soft.

na kidding, but assume if its a long trip you'd split the driving and take turns drinking. heavily.

lol dag, if it counts for anything i also like a bit of that negroid music too.. so yeah. don't think i'm a redneck.

also there's this bar in town, mickey finns which always has a hard rock cover band playing. i've got one group of friends that no joke, every single time they go to town end up sometime between 12 and 4 asking for war pigs by sabbath. "play some sabbath" "waar pigs!!!" "do you guys know any sabbath" and they never ever remember doing it. "shit, did they play war pigs? fuck don't remember that haha"

Believe me, I've been there, but when you wake up in the morning and find your truck parked across the lawn, door open, engine running and you can't remember how you got into the house without your keys...... It's time to make that change brah!

We don't take turns either, once you start drinking you aint going to sober up just so Timmy, your friend who has been driving for 1200miles, can have a sip of tasty beverage, screw Timmy, he can drink when he gets your drunk ass to where the bitches is at....
